With the rapid development of economic society,people increasing demand of the electricity consumption,has higher requirement on the quality of power supply,aimed at the demand countries put forwardhe process of 500 kV substation planning and design,lightning overvoltage calculation and insulation coordination is an important planning designers face problems,if in the substation design solve the problem of bad thunder insulation protection,so it is possible to m the construction of ultra-high voltage transmission lines,the construction of a "strong smart grid" strategic planning,and 500 kV substation as a key construction of hub and super-high voltage transmission line,become the focus of power system development and construction.But in t ake it with the civil war under the threat of lightning overvoltage,once the lightning incident is likely to cause irreparable damage to the entire power system,and even lead to major blackouts.In general,can pose for harm to safe operation of the transformer substation lightning disturbance mainly has two aspects: one is caused by lightning hit directly substation over-voltage;2 it is lightning overhead line overvoltage caused by transmission line,thunder electric wave along the route to substation and cause damage of transformer substation.In the above two kinds of incidence of the ray of the harm the latter than the former,so to prevent intrusion who ray waves of electric power system damage is one of the important purpose and lightning overvoltage research content.However,our country in 500 kV EHV transmission lines and substations,and haven't do not relevant technical standards and specifications,and in the power system planning according to the specific condition of different regions,different substation lightning overvoltage analysis calculation is an important link,at the same time,through the analysis and calculation to find out the distribution and change rule of lightning overvoltage in line,become to ray harm,to protect the important subject of electric equipment,lightning overvoltage analysis and calculation for the optimization of transformer substation project design also has very important practical significance.To this end,this paper analyzes the significance of lightning overvoltage calculation and the current situation of the study of the theory of the lightning overvoltage calculation,introduces the formation mechanism and the main parameters,the equivalent of lightning waveform features,analyzes the formation mechanism of lightning overvoltage,lightning invasion of transmission line on this basis,the key based on bergeron algorithm to construct the transmission line overvoltage calculation model,and using the calculation of model,the Inner Mongolia baotou west 500 k V substation lightning overvoltage calculation of the system for the substation lightning protection measures,provides the basis for the confirmation of the insulation level,and the insulation margin calculation,hope to be able to provide similar substation planning and construction of a certain reference.
