Along with the development of unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) system, it has been widely applied in civil, industrial and military. UUV can be used in marine survey,hydrological observation, target detection and so on, with a large number of test data accumulated in the process of completing these tasks. The test data provide the original information of the UUV performance analysis and landform detecting process, thus the study of the UUV test data management system is necessary and important.Based on the analysis of characteristics of UUV test data and the system requirements,and utilizing the principles of database design, we build a UUV test database,which is lowly redundant, convenient to store data and fast to query the test data. Therefore we can evaluate and analysis the performance of UUV's control and navigation systems accurately and effectively with the database.This paper firstly analyzes the UUV test data management system requirements, based on which we complete the structure design of UUV test database through the concept structure design, logic structure design and physical structure design. Based on the above work, the overall design including software control process, design of typical module, system realization mechanism and the selection of software and hardware platforms is completed.Secondly, combining the database design principle, using the C/S (client/server) mode,and selecting Qt as the development language and SQL Server 2000 database as a background,the UUV test data management system is implemented. The system consists of user login moaule, data input module, data query module, personal information management module,user information management module and a performance evaluation model, which is lowly redundant, convenient to store data and fast to query the test data. Thus the system can implement the test data management perfectly.Finally, the performance evaluation method for UUV control and navigation system is introduced. Combining with the test data obtained and utilizing the data management system,the UUV heading control system performance is evaluated based on the minimum variance criterion. Based on the performance indexes, ranging from 0 to 1, obtained from the minimum variance criterion, the qualitative analysis of the controller performance is carried out. And the calculation and analysis of UUV navigation precision is provided with the method of accuracy evaluation of the inertial navigation system as well.
