The leakage and dissolution of the roller compacted concrete(RCC)layer as well as the impact of admixture on the strength of RCC are two most concerned problem in the field of RCC dam construction technique because the former is related to the durability and stability of RCC dam and the latter has a direct relationship to economic.Hence there are significant theoretical value and positive engineering significance studying on these two aspects of RCC.There are three situations of deterioration of RCC specimen studied in this paper:the orientation of hydraulic gradient is parallel to the interlayer of RCC specimen,is perpendicular to it and to specimen without interlayer. The permeability coefficient and the dissolution of calcium depending on time are studied.Cumulative growth models of under different conditions are well modeled. The distribution of left calcium in seriously leaked specimen is studied by TG curve.Water absorbing power method is used to study the difference of characteristic parameters of porosity before and after leakage and dissolution.SEM is helped to observe the change of hydration products after leakage and dissolution. Both of these two microphenomena can be reasonable explanation of macrophenomena such as the permeability coefficient and the dissolution of calcium.Strength growth model base on admixture contribute is proposed by the analysis of engineering data. The parameters are successfully inverted with little error. The contribute of cement and typical admixture like fly ash, slag and limestone to the RCC strength are respectively discussed. The model provide an access to optimal mixture ratio.
