Along with the rapid growth of population in our country and the deepening of urbanization,the problems of urban water shortage and waterlogging disasters in rainy season become more serious and a wide range of natural ecological are destroyed;On the other hand,the rainwater resources are rich and water quality is good,moreover,using rainwater is much more convenient and vulnerable to promote,it will take good economic benefit and ecological benefit to city.Meanwhile,the principle of low impact development refers to protect the urban ecological system from damage.Therefore,this research combines low impact development theroy with rainwater utilization,and it is based on low impact development and regard the use of rainwater as the research object.It's analyzed and discussed mainly from the research status of rainwater utilization at home and abroad,the feasibility and need of urban rainwater,rainwater utilization potential,low impact development facilities of rainwater using,construction of rainwater using facilities and so on.This research use Zhengzhou as the background and select southern area in airport zone as the specific research area.Preliminary research results are as follows:(1)analyzing annual rainfall,monthly rainfall and storm rainfall characteristics,it is concluded that the study area of rainfall distribution is extremely uneven,floods and droughts are likely to occur,the average of annual rainfall is 639.5 mm;(2)using four different methods to calculate the rainwater utilization potential of the study area is 0.26 million m3,rainwater resources are enough for rainwater utilization;(3)replanning water system of the study area to "seven vertical,four horizontal and double lakes",then according to the water balance analysis and dividing the study area into two big rain administrative zones,and then according to the regional characteristics in different function to arrangement rainwater collection and storage facilities.Studies have shown that rainwater utilization in all kinds of cities is feasible which is based on the low impact development.Rainwater utilization potential of computing and the paper analyses the characteristics of the precipitation are essential links to study.The research promoting the effectiveness,scientific and rationality of city rainwater utilization,it's a great significance for the urban rainwater utilization process,and providing a reference for the trend of future sponge urban construction.This research has significant for urban rainwater utilization in our country.
