The motor is an important rotating machine.Rolling bearing is one of the most commonly used components and vulnerable parts in motor equipment.Bearing failure will not only affect the operation of the motor itself,but also cause a chain reaction,leading to serious security incidents.In order to ensure the safe operation of the motor and prevent the occurrence of production accidents,it is necessary to develop the on-line rolling bearing fault diagnosis system.First of all,the typical structure,fault form and failure mechanism of rolling bearing are studied in this paper,and the common method of bearing fault diagnosis is introduced.By comparing their advantages and disadvantages,the vibration signal analysis which can quickly and comprehensively extract the fault characteristic information of the bearing is selected as the bearing fault diagnosis method,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the development of bearing fault diagnosis system.Secondly,the processing methods of vibration signals are introduced in detail,including time domain analysis,frequency domain analysis,Hilbert demodulation,Wavelet analysis and Empirical Mode Decomposition.In order to solve the problems in the traditional Empirical Mode Decomposition,this paper presents a modified EMD method.By combining the traditional fault diagnosis methods with the modified EMD,this paper proposes a comprehensive bearing fault diagnosis method,which can effectively improve the efficiency and accuracy of fault diagnosis.Then,the overall design of bearing fault diagnosis system is carried out by LabVIEW platform.Hardware part includes sensor selection,signal conditioning circuit and data acquisition device design.Afterward,we introduce the realization of fault diagnosis system function module in software part.Finally,the experimental results according to the experimental platform are used to verify the practicality of bearing fault diagnosis system.The experimental results are in good agreement with expected results,and it proves that the design of the bearing fault diagnosis system in this paper can effectively diagnose the bearing failure.
