Hybrid excitation generator for vehicles has the advantages of small loss,high efficiency of permanent-magnet generators and good magnetic regulation characteristic of electromagnetic-excitation generators.It has great application value in automobile power system.All kinds of composite structures of permanent-magnet field and electromagnetic field were analyzed,parallel mixed excitation rotor with double-radial permanent magnetic and salient-pole electromagnetic was selected.The embedding mode of armature winding was designed with the method of vector star chart,and the coil embedded chart was drawn.The stator of fractional-slot winding was designed with 3phases,8 poles,36plots,and 4.5 stator teeth correspond to per rotor pole.The equivalent magnetic circuit graph of permanent magnetic circuit,electromagnetic magnetic circuit and hybrid magnetic circuit were drawn.Magnetic leakage factors of axial end face and electrode side of tile shape magnetic steel,end face of pole shoe,end face and side of electromagnetic winding were analyzed.Magnetic leakage was decreased,and the efficiency of generator was increased.Double-radial permanent-magnet magnetic field,salient-pole electro-magnetic magnetic field and hybrid magnetic field were modeled with the magnetic finite element analysis software.The chart of magnetic force lines,magnetic flux density vector and magnetic flux density value in the static magnetic field for 2D and 3D model,and the induced electromotive force waveform and current waveform with no-load and load in the transient magnetic field for 2D model were analyzed.The feasibility of design was verified.The double-radial permanent-magnetic and salient-pole electromagnetic hybrid excitation generator for vehicles was designed with rotor of shunt permanent magnet and electromagnetic,fractional diffusion winding stator,and by adjusting the quantity and direction of the electromagnetic winding excitation current to adjust the generator output voltage.Assure generator output the stabling voltage in wide range of speed and load.
