The traditional design consider the reliability of the structure mostly, while ignoring the structural economy, Therefore, the design of the structure is conservative, biased in safety. But this led to a huge waste of natural resources, water resources, mineral resources, at the same time in the production of building materials will produce a lot of pollution and have a direct destruction of the ecological balance.Structural optimization design is a combination of all aspects of the factors, through the mathematical model, the goal pursued in the design is organically linked to the conditions that should be met. and an ideal design can be get Through the"hypothesis -analysis-search-optimal design".In this paper, the high-rise frame structure is the object of study, which is based on the current relevant codes of the building structure and the theory of structural seismic and structural optimization. Firstly, the related performance of the structure is analyzed by using PKPM software. Secondly, the finite element model was established by finite element analysis software ANSYS, and the modal analysis and seismic response spectrum analysis were carried out. Thirdly, the structure carries on optimization analysis and research, which the section size of columns and beams as design variables, the structural displacement, displacement limits and axial compression ratio and shear span ratio for state variables (constraints), the lightest weight of the structure as the objective function. The main conclusions are as follows:Structure-related performance analysis can get the following conclusion: The ratio of the ratio, stiffness ratio, shear weight ratio, maximum floor displacement and maximum interlaminar displacement angle of the structure satisfies the specification requirement, and in the case of meeting the specification requirements also has a relatively large security reserves and a larger optimization space.Modal analysis and response spectrum analysis can get the following conclusion:The high vibration mode contributes less to the structural displacement, and can only consider a few vibration modes in the building seismic design. There is no a large mutation through observing each modes of the structure, indicating that the structural level and the vertical lateral stiffness distribution is reasonable. The equivalent stress is larger at the beam end and the bottom of the column. The maximum equivalent stress is less than the yield strength of the material.Structural optimization analysis can get the following conclusion: After the structure is optimized,the total weight is reduced by 17.65%. stiffness ratio, shear weight ratio, cycle ratio, axial compression ratio and displacement ratio are all satisfied with the specification requirements,and it is more reasonable before the optimization. It shows that the the utilization of the material after optimization of the structure is improved and the optimized structure is more economical and applicable. Which provides a reference for future frame structure design.
