In recent years, the railway construction level of China has been improved, and the market size of high-speed train continues to expand. The demand of the market has the characteristics of fast change and diversity, but the existing product cases often cannot fully meet the needs of new orders. Designers need to redesign the high-speed train according to the product design requirements and constraints, and use the product design knowledge to get a new conceptual design scheme to better meet the dynamic and changing market demand.High-speed train bogie involves several disciplines, like electrical and mechanical disciplines.The design knowledge has various kinds and complex hierarchical structure, at the same time the knowledge representation exists conceptual heterogeneity problem. These situations make the designers must communicate and confirm with each other many times during the design process, which affect the design efficiency. To solve these problems, this paper takes bogie as the main research object, analyzes the characteristics of complex product design knowledge,researches on the product design multidisciplinary knowledge classification, representation and reuse methods based on ontology. The main content of this paper is as follows:(1) This paper analyzes the process of conceptual design of complex products, clears and definite the purpose and application requirements of complex product design knowledge.Taking the bogie as an example, a detailed description of the knowledge is given to provide the basis for knowledge representation.(2) Analysis the complex product design knowledge and clear the knowledge characteristics of complex relationship and multidiscipline. A multidisciplinary knowledge representation method for complex product design based on ontology is proposed, and after that the ontology model of complex product design knowledge is constructed. Based on this,the paper designs the knowledge ontology model of bogie, makes clear the knowledge relation and hierarchy structure, and solves the problem of cross discipline conceptual heterogeneity by defining semantic relationships. Multidisciplinary knowledge ontology model of bogie which will be the basis for knowledge reuse is built by Protege.(3) Based on the ontology model, this paper studies the semantic similarity retrieval algorithm, and realizes the reuse of the design knowledge of the bogie through the design knowledge retrieval and knowledge reasoning.(4) Based on the above research,a knowledge reuse framework based on ontology for conceptual design of bogie is proposed according to the design requirements, and a knowledge base is constructed. The feasibility of the knowledge reuse method is verified by the design of the traction motor and the transmission system of the bogie by using Jena reasoner.Through the above research, the standardized expression and reuse of the multidisciplinary knowledge of the conceptual design of the bogie are realized, and the design knowledge of the bogie is effectively utilized.
