Now the increasingly serious haze pollution had bad effect on power transmission and transformation equipment external insulation and endangered the safety of operation of the grid.However,the studies on the mechanism of haze insulator and test conditions are limited,so it is urgent to establish artificial climate chamber to study the effects of haze deposition on power transmission equipment insulation,it is very important for the prevention of accidents and improving the safety and reliability of the operation of the electric power.This article discusses the mechanism of simulating fog and haze in artificial climate chamber,Research on test method on the simulation of the fog and haze component deployment,and design a set of fog and haze occurrence device based on the air flow crushing system.It is studied the effect of fog and haze deposition on composite insulators aging,pollution flash over,deterioration,Hydrophobic property of composite insulators.The simulation device is composed of two parts.One part is artificial climate chamber with hot fog system,which can produce temperature and humidity controllable fog And can formation the inversion layer to provide static stability conditions for the simulation of haze.The other part is air flow crushing system,The haze particles can produce controllable components of particle size less than 10?m and injected into the climate chamber.It can produce relative humidity range in 80%~90%,haze volume quality in the range of 200~600?g/m3,a variety of environmental haze aerosol size distribution in 0.25~2?m through the control of the hot fog system and the crushed material.We carried out three hundred and sixty hours of simulation of fog and haze pollution test through the simulating the production of fog and haze by using fog and haze simulation generation and got the relationship between the contamination degree and the leakage current of the composite insulator in the mild,moderate and severe fog and haze.The results show that the amplitude of the leakage current of the composite insulator increases with the time of fog and fog deposition.Composite insulator will not happen pollution flash over accident in a short time in the fog and haze,but with the time of the deposition of fog and haze increased,the probability of occurrence of pollution flash over of composite insulators increased.Experimental study shows that the fog and haze can be evenly spread in the artificial climate chamber,good stability produced by Simulation device.The concentration of gas,and haze aerosol size distribution,temperature and relative humidity were consistent with the actual haze.Test provides research conditions for studies on physical and chemical characteristics of fog and haze and its effect on insulation characteristics of insulators.It can provide the guidance for composite insulator in the fog and haze environment aging,pollution flash over,deterioration and other performance changes and theoretical and practical basis for Respond to the haze weather conditions to protect the safety of power grid operation and prevention and control measures through insulator test in the simulation of fog and haze pollution.
