In recent years,the bridge reinforcement and maintenance has become the product of the development and a hot topic of engineering.It can greatly improve the integrity,durability,strength and bearing capacity of the bridge through reinforcing the composite main arch ring of arch bridge,promising application in our country,thus favored by the general reinforcement designers.So it means a lot theoretically to study the stress mechanism of the composite arch ring when reinforcing the new and old section of the arch bridge.Taking the technical implementation of composite arch ring of arch bridge as the engineering background,the stress characteristics of the composite arch section after reinforcement are studied by means of numerical simulation and real bridge test.The research works are as followed:Firstly,the paper illustrates development history,structure characteristic and disease analysis of arch bridge in China,and the research status of using composite main arch ring to reinforce arch bridge at home and abroad.Meanwhile,it also elaborates the necessity and urgency of research in composite arch ring reinforcement,and put forwards this paper's main research content and purpose.Secondly,the paper analyses and studies stress mechanism of compound section in using composite arch ring to reinforce arch bridge.First,it makes theoretical analysis of increasing section reinforcement method,including basic principle,reinforcement characteristic,internal force of section characteristic,usage condition and structure requirement;then it analyses the characteristic of composite arch ring,including stress performance,stress analysis and compound analysis of composite arch ring;finally,it analyses theoretically main arch ring reinforcement calculation.Thirdly,The paper gives more details on the main diseases,theoretical problems reinforcement design scheme of the main arch and reinforcement of the main arch ring;With the use of the software Midas Civil,the whole model of the bridge(before and after reinforcement)can be designed.A detailed force calculation and analysis is carried out.And the results show that the stress distribution of composite arch bridge is consistent with the flat section assumption.Finally,the strength of the main arch ring is checked and analyzed.Fourthly,define the test purpose,test method and content;and then develop a complete test program,to determine the location of the test section,measuring pointposition,the loading vehicle,test conditions and loading efficiency and vehicle layout;finally test the actual reinforcement project of the real bridge,then one can know the stress characteristics of composite arch bridge by reinforcing the arch foot section.Fifthly,Analyze the results of theoretical research and the results of test in detail,to verify the section stress' s conformity to the assumption of the plane section,which brings some useful conclusions and providing reference for practical engineering reinforcement.
