Research On The Relics Of Huizhou Modern Architecture And Its Features

Although Huizhou locates in the inner land of China,it is affected greatly by western culture in modern times.With the development of new culture,traditional Huizhou society starts to transform.The modernization process has witnessed the construction of a variety of characteristic modern architecture.Modern Huizhou architecture,influenced by a range of culture,reflects the features of the development of modern constructions in rural areas in China,and also is an indispensable part of its self-development.It is of great research significance.Through detailed literature review,field investigation and survey of the modern architecture in Huizhou,this paper studies the architectural types,heritage status and architectural features of Huizhou modern architecture,and summarizes the specialty of its development and its influential factors.First of all,modern Huizhou architecture is divided into public building,residential building and other kinds of buildings.This paper also studies the heritage status and empirical features of various kinds of buildings.In addition,this paper analyzes the architectural types,spatial status and regional features of Huizhou modern architecture.Modern Huizhou architecture is divided into two types,one with traditional Huizhou architecture style and the other one with influences from western architecture.This paper summarizes the architecture features of those two types of buildings.The spatial features of modern Huizhou architecture mainly follow the traditional Huizhou buildings,but its construction space gradually transforms from conventional ritual expression to living-friendly style.Its construction space gradually changes from closed form to more open ones,and there are some changes in the courtyard of the conventional buildings,which suggest that architectures have pursued new architectural culture when building modern Huizhou buildings.Regional features are the direct reflection of modern Huizhou buildings.It is a symbol of Huizhou regional culture.In modern times,it is unlikely for most Huizhou buildings to have the same delicate carvings and decorations as traditional ones.There are changes in most elements of the buildings,whether about the arch over the gateway or the internal decorations.The general trend of those changes is that they are quite simple and geometrical.Finally,this paper summarizes the development of modern Huizhou architecture,and analyzes the characteristics of modern Huizhou architecture and the influences of social,economic and cultural environment on Huizhou architecture,and also reveals the reasons for its evolution.
