A Preliminary Study On The Reutilization Of Campus Cultural Relics Based On The Functional Demands Of Modern Universities

As the material carrier of the development and historical changes of higher education in China,the cultural and artistic value and educational value of campus cultural relics are of great significance to the continuation and construction of campus culture.At present,due to the impact of the contraction of space and land resources,the construction of university campus has gradually changed from expansion to intensification,resulting in the reuse of campus heritage buildings that still have the use function being included in the inventory renewal category.However,due to the lack of protection consciousness and the limitation of the cultural relic building’s own conditions,in the process of reuse,only to meet the functional needs of colleges and universities,we use modern means to transform it wantonly,which has violated the Reuse Principle of the cultural relic building with "authenticity" as the main value.In this context,how to effectively reuse the campus cultural relics based on the premise of protection,while taking into account the two-way trade-off of educational needs,is an urgent problem to be solved and highly valued by the State Administration of cultural relics.In view of this problem,the domestic research is still limited to the adaptive transformation of general historical buildings or "old buildings",and the research on the combination of protection and reuse of campus cultural relics is basically blank.In view of this,this paper focuses on the protection and reuse of cultural relic buildings.By studying the available characteristics of cultural relic buildings on campus and the functional space demand of modern colleges and universities,combined with the corresponding cultural protection measures,this paper attempts to build an effective reuse method of travel,and maximize the possibility of exploring the utilization of cultural relic buildings on campus.This paper first defines the concept of the research object,and discusses the research progress on the reuse of campus heritage buildings at home and abroad.Secondly,from the perspective of historical evolution,this paper expounds the main reasons for the gradual deviation between campus cultural relic buildings and educational needs,and sums up the current problems and difficulties in the reuse of campus cultural relic buildings.Thirdly,through the collection and analysis of many aspects of architectural historical data,this paper sorts out the common characteristics and available conditions of all kinds of campus heritage buildings,and clarifies the advantages and limitations of different types of buildings.Secondly,according to the current guidance document for the allocation of functional buildings in colleges and universities issued by the Ministry of Education,combined with the survey results of various campus functional requirements of Hunan University,the detailed information of basic functional space requirements of modern colleges and universities is obtained.Finally,the paper deeply analyzes the current documents on the protection and utilization of cultural relic buildings in China,extracts the key points and establishes the reuse principles.On this basis,combined with two studies on the characteristics of campus cultural relic buildings and the functional requirements of modern universities,it establishes a number of influencing factors of reuse function matching,so as to construct the reuse matching method of campus cultural relic buildings,Taking Hunan University as an example,this paper analyzes the application of matching method,obtains the adaptive functions and various possibilities of the corresponding cultural relics,At the same time,it also screened out modern university functions that are not conducive to the sustainable protection of campus cultural relics,hoping to provide some reference for the protection and reuse of campus cultural relics in my country.
