With development of new energy technology and support of governments,distributed generations(DGs)are paid widespread attention and adopted by more and more electric power users.In order to overcome negative impacts of DG integrating into grid,the concept of active distribution network was proposed,aiming to actively control kinds of distributed energy resources(DERs),such as energy storage system(ESS),controllable load and DG,to achieve complementary and efficient operation.With characteristics of fast power adjustment and both supply and storage,ESS is important in ADS optimization operation.However,due to the high cost of battery energy storage system(BESS)configuration,and the shortage of domestic energy subsidies,the large-scale application of energy storage in power system are limited,and there is a mismatch between the investment in the construction of BESS and its demand.Therefore,in the open electrictity market environment,a variety of potential revenue of BESS access to power system are studied and considering interests of different investment subjects,the optimal allocation method of BESS in active distribution network is systematically studied.The main contribution of this paper can be summarized as follows:Firstly,combined with literature at home and abroad,the mathematical model and configuration cost model of BESS considering the service life are established;according to the different installation positions,economic benefits of the energy applied to conventional power generation side,power grid level,the user side and the large-scale new energy side are analyzed depthly.Furthermore,economic benefits of energy storage applied in power grid level are quantified which lay the theoretical foundation for the follow-up study.On this basis,we discuss optimal allocation methodd of BESS under two investment operation modes.First,though setting the upper and lower bounds of tracking price and the minimum SOC of battery,a new method to determine BESS operation strategy is proposed;with application scenarios that in the environment of open electricity market,a large number of users build DG and access into grid,distribution network company(DISCO)invests the constructions of BESS,and dispatched it optimally under normal and fault conditions,optimal allocation model of BESS considering operation strategy and investment subject benefit is established.Second,with application scenarios that BESS operator invests the constructions of BESS,and DISCO guides the charging and discharging strategy of BESS in the form of contract price,a bi-level optimization planning method of BESS optimal capacity and contract price is proposed.According to the characteristics of the two models,appropriate solution algorithms are proposed,respectively.The validity and feasibility of the model are verified by numerical examples and Suggestions to configurate BESS in distribution network are exhibited.
