With the rapid development of China's economy,the scale of the power grid is more and more large,so pumped storage power station is becoming a more important role in power grid,from the early equipment of regulating the peak value and filling valley to the indispensable management tool in power system.Independent wicket gates governor with advanced wicket gate control methods is popularized and applied to new pumped storage power station because its flexible regulation and high precision.However,the large number of control components and the relatively complex system structure,especially the asynchronous opening fault,also make a large influence on the safe and stable operation of pumped storage power station,which needs to be solved pertinently.This paper studies the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of independent wicket gates governor based on Shandong Taishan's pumped storage power station,aiming to the absence of real time data monitoring and historical data query of wicket gates.The main work and achievements of the paper are as following:(1)The research status and development trend of the technology of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis are summarized firstly,then a detailed analysis is made on the independent wicket gates governor system,and the causes of asynchronous opening fault are analyzed from part level.(2)From the perspective of theoretical research,FMEA and FTA methods are combined to analyze the fault types and cause and effect relationship of asynchronous opening fault,and then using BP neural network to establish the relation model between fault symptoms and fault causes in order to instruct the unit maintenance personnel for fault diagnosis.(3)The hardware/software design of the wicket gate condition monitoring system is carried out with equipment selection and system integration.Afterwards,we develop a condition monitoring program under the LabVIEW platform and apply it to actual operation in Taishan's pumped storage power station,it proves the feasibility and validity of the research results in this paper.
