In recent years, Large Pumped Storage Power Station developed rapidly in China.Independent Wicket Gates Governor, who is one of the most advanced governor system, waswidely used in Large Pumped Storage Power Station.But the Independent Wicket Gates Governor is prone to asynchronous opening fault;Because of do not have the states’ historical records of the wickets control loop, fault analysisin great trouble.Therefore, this paper researched and designed the wicket gates monitoring system baseGuangzhou pumped storage power station Ⅱ. This system can record the states of the wicketscontrol loop to provide technical support for failure analysis of asynchronous opening faultand reduce the workload of equipment maintenance for governor.The main content of this paper include:1. Research the Independent Wicket Gates Governor, and analysis the wickets control loopin-depth. Then select the state date who are need for fault diagnosis, and design the strategyof the data acquisition.2. According to the wicket gates monitoring system requirements, Master design thought ofthe wicket gates monitoring system was introduced, where today’s advanced programmablecontrol technology and computer technology was used.3. According to the wicket gates monitoring system overall design, the research of importantlink to achieve specific technology was introduced.
