Urban environment pollution,noise and traffic congestion problems become more and more serious in China.The territory for future development in medium and small cities is limited.So,there is an urgent need to find a suitable and friendly transportation system for these zones.H-Bahn type vehicle is one of the favorite suspended monorail vehicles.It becomes a research focus in current and future urban rail transit because of its advantages such as short construction period,spatial applicability.This paper focuses on the structure,the characteristics of vehicle and bogie of the H-Bahn suspended monorail system in detail.On the basis of this study,the dynamic performance of suspended monorail vehicle is investigated.The main research of the paper is as follows:1.By Aiming at the study of the structural characteristics of the suspended monorail vehicle system,this paper constructs the virtual prototype platform of the vehicle system based on ADAMS software.Firstly,the kinematics,dynamics analysis and theoretical foundation by using the simulation platform are introduced.The simulation of dampers,spring force,contact force and shaft sleeve is presented for further application.Then,the study on vehicle type of suspended monorail vehicle system,the structure of bogie,the configuration of driving and braking is carried out.With the vehicle structure topology configuration from a reference vehicle,a numerical simulation model is established.Finally,on the basis of the vehicle simulation model,tire model and virtual rail model are developed.When assembling the two models with vehicle simulation model,a virtual prototype simulation platform is built for further study on vehicle dynamics.2.The accuracy of the dynamic simulation model of suspended monorail vehicle is verified.The paper proposes a model accuracy validation method.In the design of vehicle gauge,the contour of approximate calculation threshold from the dynamic model simulation is compared with the modified calculated limit results from CJJ96-2003 standard system of suspended monorail vehicle.It is shown from the comparison that the margin calculation results from the two methods are approximately consistent.So,the accuracy and the feasibility of the simulation vehicle model and the simulation platform with virtual prototype technology are validated.This is the basis for the study on the dynamic performance of suspended monorail vehicle systems.3.The dynamic performance of the suspended monorail vehicle system runs on typical straight and curve lines is analyzed by the developed virtual prototype model.Firstly,based on the traditional rail vehicle performance evaluation standard,the suitable evaluation standards for the suspended monorail vehicles are illustrated such as Sperling indicator,heavy wheel unloading rate.Then,a typical straight line and a typical curve line are designed,respectively.The dynamic performance of the suspended monorail vehicles is simulated under the presented two typical lines.In addition,the operating speed is set to different amplitude on the typical straight line.Different curvatures,different limit speeds and different transition curves are applied in the case of the typical curve line.Finally,by using the empty-load and full-load as the running conditions,the dynamic running stability and mobility on curve lines performances of the suspended monorail vehicle under the cased of the two typical lines are investigated.It is shown that the dynamic performances of the presented suspended monorail vehicle under typical line conditions meet the prescribed standards.The line adapting ability of the presented suspended monorail vehicle is strong and vehicle guidance force value is approaching the maximum load value on the operating condition of curve line and full-load case.4.The braking performance of the suspended monorail vehicle system is analyzed with the numerical model.The braking performance of the suspended monorail vehicle under the cases of routine braking and emergency braking is carried out.The case of routine braking is divided into one stage braking and multi-stage braking.One stage braking is applied in the case of emergency braking.Through the simulation results from vehicle dynamics model,it is viable to analyze the barking performance of the suspended monorail vehicle and it can provide the basic parameters for developing reference control strategy under the two cases of braking process.This paper presents the procedure in developing a virtual prototype model of suspended monorail vehicle systems with the application of ADAMS platform.Through the work of this paper,the virtual prototype model of suspended monorail vehicle systems is useful for further research.The paper also gives a way to verify the numerical model by comparing the threshold results from the present vehicle model and the calculated results via CJJ96-2003 standard.In the paper,the simulation results of vehicle stability,curve-passing performance and braking performance are effective to be used in the research on the developing of suspended monorail vehicle and the systems.Especially,the braking control strategy in the study on braking performance can be taken a step close to the safety operation of the suspended monorail vehicles.
