With the coordinated development of economy in the East and the west of China,the road and Bridge in the west of China is developing rapidly,the road and bridge is one of the important links of the economic development in the East and west part of the two way.Because of the geological structure of the western region,earthquake prone,as a bridge connecting the world's reputation channel,its importance is self-evident.The construction of roads and bridges in the westerrn region where the geomorphic environment is more and more complex environment such as mountains,rivers,the construction is difficult,considering the advantages of continuous bridge,bridge design is widely used in the westerrn region,so the design of this kind of road bridge,the seismic performance is very important.In this paper the Wuguan highway high pier continuous bridge engineering,combined with the basic theory of seismic research on the seismic performance of bridge closed at home and abroad results and dynamic characteristics of continuous bridge,high pier bridge,seismic performance and seismic design research and analysis.This paper summarizes the characteristics of high pier structure with different types of piers,with tanks highway continuous high pier bridge project as an example,using MIDAS/CIVIL software to establish the finite element model of pier type structure for double column,circular and rectangular hollow thin-walled high pier shape of the three kinds of dynamic characteristics and seismic performance analysis results show that affecting the stability and earthquake of high bridge pier positioning numerical will cause damage to the body,the bridge;short pier bridge to avoid the stiffness,prevent external load and initial failure.In this paper,the seismic design of the bridge across the fault zone is carried out,and the arrangement of the two span simply supported beam at the fault is determined,so as to reduce the influence of the fracture on the seismic performance of the bridge.
