Study On The Sponge Campus Under The Background Of The Sponge City

Since the China propose the model of urban development of the "sponge city",both the theoretical study of stormwater management and the practice of low impact development has achieved remarkable results.Sponge city construction strategy is an effective way to solve the serious urban problems,such as urban waterlogging,river pollution,waste of water resources and so on.At the same time,China’s higher education is also developing rapidly,and the sizeof the campus is gradually increasing.But at present,the university campus has the advantages of low building density,high greening rate,and so on.In particular,in Colleges and universities in large and medium cities,if we can solve the low impact on the development and construction of the university campus will make important contributions to China’s "sponge city" strategy.The core part of the paper is divided into three major sections: the research and application of the foreign stormwater management,the study of the sponge campus location based on the rainwater management,the campus planning and design based on the stormwater management.In this paper,22 kinds of LID single facilities and the 6 technical functions are studied in detail.Then,these facilities and technologies are combined with the campus special environment to form a system of rainwater management.On the basis of a large number of research on the theory of sponge campus,combined with the actual case of Henan University of Technology,the paper has carried out the evaluation and design of low impact rainwater development.About the location of sponge campus,this paper gives some suggestions: based on the traditional campus on campus,the location factors increase the elevation and slope,hydrology,soil and so on,and choosing whicharea can play more stormwater management function.In the sponge campus planning,this paper give the planning scheme for LID facilities: design campus road based on the valley lines,set the campus natural ecological corridor according to the campus slope,set the LID terminal facilities and landscape lake in the low area.Finally,this paper designsthe separate items of the sponge campus,including: campus construction,campus road,campus square and green space,campus parking lot,etc..Based on field survey of the current situation of Henan University of Technology,this paper gives the selection of suitable LID facilities,and design vertical and horizontal scheme with the collocation of these LID facilities.With the process of urbanization,the scale of university campus has gradually increased.The successful application of LID facilities in the construction of the campus will be able to effectively promote the construction of the sponge campus,while the sponge campus will also make an important contribution to China’s sponge city strategy.
