With the construction and expansion of the city,large areas of natural underlying surfaces have been replaced by gray paving,which has disturbed the natural hydrological cycle of the city,and the phenomenon has led to a series of serious floods.The hinterland on both sides of the urban river is a special belt-shaped space that connects the urban environment and the river ecological environment.It is an important zone in the urban hydrological cycle.Facing of severe rain and flood problems,traditional landscape design methods cannot meet the current needs.Thus,it is urgent to explore New ideas for the development and construction of riverfront space.This paper is based on solving the problem of flood,based on the concept of sponge City,summarizes the successful experience of domestic and foreign waterfront sponge green space cases,after analyzing the necessity and feasibility of the application of sponge city concept in waterfront landscape,then,we explored the sponge system design strategy and construction method of sponge waterfront green space from the perspective of ecological landscape design.。Through the process of theoretical exploration,the design strategy of five elements in the sponge-shaped riverside green space was summarized.And using five steps including site analysis,GIS hydrological analysis and other analysis sections,and calculation methods such as volumetric method and infiltration rate,to obtain the sponge system layout plan of the sponge-shaped riverside green space.Then taking the riverside green space on the north bank of the Yaojiang River as the research object,the application of the above five steps shows that this design method is suitable for riverside space,and is easy to operate and feasible.Finally,a comprehensive economic benefit evaluation model of the sponge system is constructed.This model is used to evaluate the operation effect of the sponge system in the A and B sections of the riverside green space on the north bank of the Yaojiang River after completion.The results show that the effectiveness of this design method after construction,we was also found that the operation of the sponge system after construction has made outstanding contributions in terms of land appreciation,pollutant removal and promotion of regional green economic development benefits.It can be seen that the application value of this design method is relatively high,and it is hoped to provide reference and reference for the future planning and design of sponge-shaped riverside green space.
