In order to solve the defect of performance of the traditional method of passive vibration isolation in the control of marine diesel engine vibration, meet the people's increasing requirements of the vibration of the vessels, this paper describes a newer type of active and passive hybrid isolator. The active and passive hybrid isolator mainly composed by the upper and lower layers vibration isolation device, the middle platform as an intermediate mass, four inertial electromagnetic actuators installing on the middle of the platform and the power amplifier equipment parts. The active and passive hybrid isolator is designed a double-layer vibration isolation system , adding a secondary power source device output excitation force on intermediate mass, through appropriate control algorithm to control the secondary excitation force , input external energy to the vibration system to reduce force transmission rate in order to reach a predetermined vibration control target. This paper focuses on the research work in designing the inertial electromagnetic actuators and structural of the active and passive hybrid isolator, and completed the following work:1 Based on the basic theory of- the isolation, the paper mainly discusses the double-layer vibration isolation system and the double-layer active control vibration isolation system .The conclusions provide the necessary theoretical basis for the the active and passive hybrid isolator designing.2 This paper designed the magnetic circuit of- the inertial electromagnetic actuator, selected the Nd-Fe-B permanent magnetic materials as the permanent magnet of the inertial electromagnetic actuator, and selected of steel as the soft magnetic materials. The paper analyzed the yoke iron thickness, permeability magnetic cylinder thickness and permeability magnetic cylinder length on the influence of the characteristic of permanent magnet magnetic circuit in detail by using Ansoft analysis software. The inertial electromagnetic actuator springs, fans and other important components were calculated. Based on the results of the simulation and calculation, the inertia electromagnetic actuator individual parts were designed in detail by using AutoCAD software, and the three-dimensional effect model of inertia electromagnetic actuator was established with Pro/e modeling software. The four inertial electromagnetic actuators were assembled after the various parts were processed, and the detailed of testing for theirs performance also was completed. The test results show that the four inertial electromagnetic actuators performance are excellent, the four inertial electromagnetic actuators can completely as secondary vibration force of the active vibration control system.3 The shore hardness of 60?70HS Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) was determined as the upper and lower isolation rubber materials. The upper and lower layers vibration isolation devices were designed according to requirements of the active and passive hybrid isolator size. The amount of deformation of the active and passive hybrid isolator was calculated in the case of carrying 5 tons of force, the theoretical calculation compared with the results of the Ansys software, shows that the deformation of the designed active and passive hybrid isolator completely was in the permitted range. The other components of the active and passive hybrid isolator were designed and the three-dimensional effect model of the active and passive hybrid isolator was established with Pro/e modeling software according to the designed drawings. Finally the active and passive hybrid isolator was assembled after the various components were processed. This paper has done enough preparations for the vibration active control test.
