Face gear transmission is a new type of gear transmission,which has such advantages as large transmission ratio,high capacity and so on.Face gear transmission has been successfully applied to the helicopter gearbox technology abroad,which shows a unique and excellent transmission performance.With the rapid progress of technology industry in our country,face gear transmission technology will have a more broad development prospect in aerospace,defense industry,equipment manufacturing and other fields.For gear transmission,the vibration and noise reduction has been the goal which the relevant scholars and technicians constantly pursue.Gear modification is still one of the most effective methods to reduce the vibration and noise of gear transmission.Based on dynamic analysis,the in-depth theoretical research on profile modification will undoubtedly make it serve for peoples' production and life better.Compared to orthogonal face gear transmission,the non-erthogonal face gear transmission is a more general form.Thus the dynamic analysis of non-orthogonal face gear is of more general significance.Aiming at the non-orthogonal face gear transmission system,to achieve the goal of the vibration and noise reduction,the dynamic analysis and profile modification of system are studied in this paper,which include the following contents:The dynamic model is established,which contains a variety of nonlinear factors and a coupling vibration of multiple degrees of freedom.Then the dynamic equations of the system are derived.Multiple steady-state responses are obtained after computation of Gear method.The nonlinear characteristics reflected by the time response course,phase plane,Poincare map,Fourier spectrum and so on are analyzed.According to the tooth modification theory,the reason for face gear transmission noise is analyzed.The basic principle of the vibration and noise reduction by tooth profile modification is elaborated.The tooth profile modification model of the small gear(spur cylinder gear)is established.The key parameters of the tooth profile modification are analyzed,and the dynamic equations of the system considering tooth profile modification are derived.Then the dynamic equations are analyzed and transformed based on method of multiple scales.The first order approximate solutions of primary harmonic,super harmonic and sub-harmonic responses of system are derived.After that,the frequency responses equations of steady-state response of the system are obtained.By the analysis of parameters which affect the maximum amplitude,the problem of tooth profile modification aiming to reduce the vibration and noise can be attributed to the most reasonable function equation of profile modification curves.The optimization model of tooth profile modification is established.
