Face gear has been widely used in the field of aviation because of its obvious advantages and its own unique advantages in the distributary transmission.The research of face gear both at home and abroad is based on involute cylindrical gears.Compared with the involute gear,the comprehensive curvature radius of the circular arc gear is larger.It has higher contact fatigue strength and bearing capacity,and its running and performance are good.This article will be based on the meshing performance and transmission theory of circular arc profile cylindrical gear and involute tooth profile face gear,dissect its advantages and disadvantages,the orthogonal face gear with the characteristics of the tooth profile of the circular arc profile gear is put forward,and the machining process of the tooth surface is analyzed.The tooth profile and machining process of the circular arc profile orthogonal face gear are simulated and analyzed,further study of its tooth surface characteristics and processing characteristics.According to the principle of gear meshing,the minimum inner radius to not produce gear undercut and the maximum outer radius to not produce gear tip of tooth of face-gear is derived.According to the generating condition of the boundary point of the curvature of the tooth surface of the orthogonal face gear based on the circular tooth profile,obtain the inner radius of the face gear.This paper mainly studies the tooth surface generation and the internal and external radius of the tooth surface of the circular arc profile orthogonal face gear,and the tooth surface is simulated in MATLAB software.According to the principle of gear meshing,the tooth surface equation of cylindrical gear shaper cutter and the coordinate system in machining process are combined,the tooth surface equation of a circular tooth orthogonal face gear is derived.According to the generating condition of the boundary point of the curvature of the gear surface of the orthogonal face gear with circular tooth profile,obtain the inner radius of the face gear.According to the circular tooth profile orthogonal face gear the two tooth faces will intersects at the outer radius,find out the outer radius of the face gear.According to the tooth surface equation of the orthogonal face gear of the arc tooth profile,the full tooth surface of the single arc tooth profile orthogonal face gear is generated by the MATLAB software and the visual simulation modeling is carried out,the shape of the tooth surface is analyzed.According to the generation condition of the boundary points of the gear curvature interference and the intersection of the tooth faces,Analysis and calculation of the inner and outer radius of the face gear.By setting different parameters,the tooth surface shape of the face gear face under different parameters is obtained in the MATLAB software.The influence of different parameters on the shape of the tooth surface and the performance of the gear is analyzed.It provides a theoretical basis for improving the transmission efficiency of the face gear,the contact strength of the tooth surface and the carrying capacity of the transmission.It also provides the basis for the theoretical design and practical application of face gear.
