As the social and economic of China continues to develop,life quality of people has been an unprecedented increase,and the car is regarded as one of the necessities of life.A significant increase in car ownership has also brought a large increase in problems of scrap cars.How to recycle these scrap cars effectively and rationally,achieve these scrap cars remanufacturing,and reach the resources of these scrap cars harmlessly is a question that must be addressed in the development of circular economy.Automotive engine remanufacturing is the top priority in automotive parts remanufacturing and cylinder is the core component of automotive engine,whose main failure mode is wear and erosion.This article will study electrical brush remanufacturing of the wear failure cylinder blocks.A series of experiment samples were plated by different process parameters,and the microstructure and properties of coatings was studied with single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment method.Optimal process parameters(Plating Voltage 12V,anode rate 20m/min,plating time 15min)were got after experiment.Nickel coating and composite coating which each contained 3g/L,6g/1,9g/L TiC nano-powder were prepared by brush plating under the best process parameters.The best overall performance coating was found by the comparison of nickel coating's and different TiC levels nano-powder composite coatings' performance,which contained 6g/L TiC nano-powder and was plated by the process parameters:voltage 12V,anode rate 20m/min,and plating time 15min.Optimized formulations of soluble anode quick brush nickel coating were found after electric plating comparative tests conducted under different bath composition and different process parameters,which were:Nickel sulfate 250 g/L,ammonium citrate 50 g/L,ammonium oxalate 0.2 g/L,ammonia,105 g/L,ammonium acetate,25 g/L,6g TiC nano powder;plating voltage of 12V,brush plating time 15min,overcast-the anode relative velocity 20m/min.Obtained Nanoparticles Composite Coating was finer,harder and wear better,performance significantly better than the pure nickel coating,and excellent combining with the based material.Mazda 6 car engine block remanufacturing with brush plating technology using the above bath formulation and process parameters has been achieved very good results.Thus the electric brush plating remanufacturing process of the engine block was summed up,which provided the basis for the development process specifications of electrical brush plating remanufacturing of the waste engine parts.
