The hydraulic cylinder is the most important power actuators of Engineering machinery,is also one of components of the most prone to failure,A large number of discarded waste its high added value,the application of remanufacturing recycles a large amount of added value,create direct economic benefits and avoid the pollution to the environment disposal.The paper take the loader's boom cylinder and turning cylinder for example,the cylinder wall occurs local strain,strain depth is 0.1?0.5 mm.By studying its failure mode and remanufacturing technology,provide theoretical basis and decision-making reference for remanufacturing enterprise.The main contents of the research are as follows:(1)Through the field observation of hydraulic cylinder's failure parts,actual working condition,load,and detecting the hydraulic oil quality,etc.,analyse its failure mode and failure mechanism.(2)Assess the old hydraulic cylinder's remanufacturability from technology,economy and environment,allocation of index weight through analytic hierarchy process.By using the matter-element model evaluate its technical feasibility,and evaluate its economic feasibility and environmental feasibility through data comparison.(3)By using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to choose the optimal remanufacturing technology solutions.(4)In order to guarantee the strength and stiffness of the hydraulic cylinder that repaired by means of size repair methods,their mechanical properties are analyzed by ANSYS,while their wall thickness is cut by 0.5mm and 1.0mm.The stress field and the displacement field of cylinder block are aslo calculated in original geometry condition,and analyse the stress and strain of cylinder block structure.(5)Comparing the cost and benefit between new hydraulic cylinder and repaired hydraulic cylinder,analyse its advantages and disadvantages and comprehensive benefit evaluation.The study shows that the failure mode of general engineering machinery hydraulic cylinder block is abrasive wear that based on micro cutting mechanism.The remanufacturing is feasible in technology,economy and environment.The brush plating and size repair method are optimal remanufacturing technology.The result shows that the repaired cylinder block's safety factors in the condition of maximum stress are respectively 1.63,1.57 and 1.47,1.41,is still in the recommended range of values,and the change of stress and the maximal displacement of the cylinder wall thickness direction don't affect the safety of the parts,so size repair method is feasible.Hydraulic cylinder can restore its shape and dimension precision after brush plating,and has better performance of repair layer.The two kinds of remanufacturing technologies have different advantages and disadvantages,the remanufacturing cost and output benefits are similar,so the remanufacturing enterprise must depend on the specific situation when choosing remanufacturing technologies.Therefore,the hydraulic cylinder remanufacturing has combined the existing technical support,and can meet coordinate between manufacturers',distributors' and users' interests.Moreover,remanufacturing can reduce the stress of manufacturing damage to ecological environment,and provide jobs,so remanufacturing broad prospects.
