The comfort and aesthetic of residence have been paid more attention by structural designers and developers with improvements of daily economic life and increasingly high requirements of residence.As a result,special shaped columns have been extensively applied in engineering,resulting from its unique structural advantages.At present,there are relatively large amounts of researches concentrated on special-shaped columns both in and out of home.Based on previous researches,the mechanical properties of cross-shaped reinforced concrete columns have been analyzed in this essay,with using three-dimensional finite element numerical simulation.The main research contents are as follow:Based on the specimen sizes and material mechanical index of previous researchers’ experiments,the finite element model of crossed-shaped reinforced concrete compressed columns have been established and then analyzed through numerical simulation,with using finite element analyzing software ABAQUS.The analyzing results generally match with experimental results,which verifies the rationality of this model.With using above-mentioned model,the stress and strain have been analyzed,aimed at the mechanical properties of cross-shaped reinforced concrete compressed columns.The effects of mechanical properties resulted from parameters,including concrete strength rate,slenderness ratio,the ratio of longitudinal reinforcement and transverse reinforcement ratio,have been researched.With using above-mentioned model,the cross-shaped reinforced concrete eccentrically-compressed columns have been analyzed with using three-dimensional finite element numerical simulation.It gives: the judging criteria of limit eccentricity;the influences from concrete strength rate,the ratio of longitudinal reinforcement,transverse reinforcement ratio to limit eccentricity;the influences of crossed-shaped reinforced concrete columns’ mechanical properties from concrete strength rate,the ratio of longitudinal reinforcement,transverse reinforcement ratio and slenderness ratio,in the compressed conditions of small unidirectional eccentricity,big unidirectional eccentricity,small bidirectional eccentricity and big bidirectional eccentricity.
