Because of the tremendous contradiction between the limitation of urban land use and green space construction,a new kind of green space—green roof appeals in recent years.Green roof not only have enormous social and economic benefits,but also can improve urban ecological environment and enhance the life quality of citizens.The research uses the UAV for aerial photography of 158 square kilometers of Luohe,and then artificially digitalize the high-resolution aerial images,combing with field research,Luohe Urban Master Plan(2012-2030),Land Use Planning in Luohe(2009-2020),and then classify the roof resources,at last the roof resource database of Luohe is constructed.Selecting the appropriate assessment methods suitable for building the green roof and ecological benefits evaluation methods,combining with the roof resource database,the potential of different building roofs of Luohe which can build green roof was analyzed and the ecological benefits of building green roof were quantified.The research also analyzed the advantages and difficulties of the development of green roof in Luohe,and submitted some reasonable suggestions to make a progress in the development of green roof,or to provide references for the construction of ecological city in Luohe,or to provide reference for the construction of green roof in other cities.The conclusions of the research are as follows:1.The total area of roof resources in Luohe: The center area of Luohe is about 158 square kilometers,15800hm2;and the total building area is about 3329.50hm2,accounting for about21.07% of the total area in Luohe.2.The results of the questionnaire survey : Utilization of roof in Luohe is low;68.63% of the public agreed to build green roof and 55.88% don’t care about the location of green roof.And58.82% believe that the government plays a key role in construction green roofs.3.The classifications of the roof resources: residential buildings,public buildings,commercial buildings and other buildings,their area are about 2293.80hm2,141.80hm2,770.2hm2,123.7hm2 respectively,accounting for about 14.52% 0.90%,4.87%,0.78% of the center area respectively.There are 1818.50hm2 flat roof which are suitable for all or part to build green roof.Because of the property rights,public and commercial buildings are easier to build green roofthm2 n residential ones.4.According to the evaluation method of ecological benefits of green roof : If all the flat roof buildings are built with green roof,the ecological benefits are as follows:①Each year absorbing 2.65×109kg CO2,releasing of 1.92×109 kg 02,the annual economic value of carbon sequestration is about 7.46×108 Yuan,the economic value of oxygen release is about 7.70×108 Yuan;②Each year absorbing toxic gases for 5.64×104 kg SO2,2.73×106 kg dust,the economic value of toxic gas absorption is 7.09×104 Yuan,the amount of dust economic value is1.53×106Yuan;③Each year saving electricity for 2.54×109kwh,the economic value of energy saving and consumption reduction of about 1.42×109Yuan;④Annual water conservation can be about 4.91×105T,the economic value of water conservation is about 1.51×106Yuan;.In summary,the ecological benefits of green roof in Luohe can produce at least 2.94×109 Yuan per year.Among them: public buildings,commercial buildings,residential buildings can produce at least 1.52×108 Yuan,4.445×108 Yuan,2.51×109Yuan respectively.
