Smart home is designed to provide customers with a more convenient, efficient and customized household life style. However, there are some challenges remaining to be solved in the current smart home industry, including the lack of common communication frameworks and cloud support, and the complexity of control terminals. This paper mainly researches on smart device control and a rule engine. The main contributions and innovations of this paper include:(1) For the P2P control method through a graphical user interface,we researched the Control Panel Service and data exchange format,and implemented an intelligent control terminal, which dynamically rendered graphical interaction components after acquired the Control Panel Meta-Data of nearby smart devices.(2) For the linkage control method under different scenarios based on the Event-Actions mechanism, we designed and constructed a rule engine on the intelligent control terminal side, which completed the storage and management of rules data.(3) For the remote control method on intelligent devices, we analyzed the structure of AllJoyn message and proposed a data adaptation scheme. We implemented a packaging and parsing module to realize the adaptation between AllJoyn message and XML format data.The above-mentioned work has been fully tested on a variety of intelligent devices, and the test result shows that it has a good performance on device control. The control method improves the current solution of device linkage control in smart home research field,expands the scope of smart home application, and has a certain significance for building the smart home ecosystem.
