In recent years,the valve in the use of all walks of life more and more widely,species have become various,and it gradually develop towards the direction of high quality and low energy consumption.In the work process of valve,how can get valve flow resistance coefficient,analyse the stem to withstand torque and so on,these relate to the mechanical properties of the valve,production and application and the valve optimization design.In the past research,the method of test or empirical formula is generally used.With the development of CFD technology,the advantage with using computational fluid mechanics to simulate is more and more obvious,many scholars get more accurate numerical analysis results through the numerical simulation to valve each moment of the state steady state,and the cycle is shorter,the cost is even lower.This paper mainly carries on the research:For a valve factory of two kinds of valve,large diameter butterfly valve and piston type flow control valve,the valve is modeled by SolidWorks,the flow of the flow channel is divided by using ICEM software.Two different dynamic mesh updating methods are selected for different models.Using FLUENT software,respectively,the butterfly valve and the flow regulating valve take transition process non steady numerical simulation calculation,and get the true and accurate simulation of valve from open to fully closed the whole process,in working process in motion of an arbitrary transient speed and pressure of visualization.For some important characteristics of the valve,takeing the Tecplot processing means and MATLAB data fitting technology,achieve state continuous flow resistance coefficient,flow coefficient,dimensionless,cavitation coefficient curves of the valve from fully open state to the fully closed;Analyzed large diameter non sealing butterfly valve torque,considering the torque causes,dynamic torque are simulated and calculated,and according to the empirical formula calculation results were compared,butterfly valve to further optimize the design and research provides reliable basis.
