In the severe global economic environment at present, the energy industry is still able to remain active, and offshore oil and gas and wind power as the future direction of the development of engineering project has been inseparable, these energy companies pay attention to, thus led to the rapid growth of ocean engineering ships. The abyssal ocean engineering ships, the working environment is poor, often meet storm, the weather, for continuous operation, safety, energy saving, the requirements of the propulsion system is very strict. In order to meet the requirements of the function of ocean engineering ships, in this paper, the hybrid propulsion system has carried on the research and development.Deep sea Marine engineering ship hybrid propulsion system is composed of mechanical propulsion and electric propulsion, mechanical propulsion system has mature technology,high efficiency, and low equipment cost, at the same time there are serious pollution, low efficiency of low load; Electric propulsion system is a high degree of automation, flexible operation, low pollution, etc, but expensive, technical development time is short, high load low working efficiency shortcomings also need to consider. On the equipment type selection,this paper also introduced the selection of related parameters in the process of calculation, as well as the curve analysis and so on.According to the theoretical analysis results, according to the actual project in our plant,analyzed the testing result of the propulsion system, through the ship information such as function, form and function configuration, calculate the required power, ship electric propulsion, ship wave resistance information such as the flow conditions, and equipment selection. In assessing the propulsion system equipment was determined, and the navigation test, by analyzing the test results, verify the previous calculation push system is meet the demand of ship function, also confirmed the reliability and accuracy of the calculation.At last, through the study of hybrid propulsion system, proposes several optimization point and the difficulty, need to focus on in future design work and continue to research and develop new propulsion equipment and systems.To sum up, this research will work from theoretical analysis to the actual test to deep sea ship hybrid propulsion system in-depth study.
