The adobe masonry buildings in the area of the village are still the mainly building form adopted by the local residents.Such buildings in the construction,the lack of effective basic design,poor quality of construction,which results in low reliability.Thus,the adobe houses suffered greater damage in the event of an earthquake,resulting in a huge loss of personnel and property.In order to research how to improve the seismic behavior of adobe walls and buildings,in this paper,the adobe wall is taken as the research object,through the experimental research,theoretical analysis and numerical simulation and other research methods,some reference results can be obtained.The main conclusions include :(1)Based on the low cycle repeated loading test on the wall,the seismic performance of "I" type adobe wall and reinforced wall is studied.The results show that the failure modes of the specimen is similar to that of the plain masonry wall,which is shear failure;Reinforcement of the wall occurs shear damage.The seismic performance of the reinforced concrete mortar is improved in the bearing capacity,rigidity,energy dissipation capacity and ductility,which is better than the adobe wall.The type of "H" wall with steel mesh cement mortar can meet the reliability of the connection strength of the vertical and horizontal wall;(2)The results of anti-lateral bearing capacity of adobe and reinforced wall are in good agreement with the calculated results.The experimental results are in good agreement with the numerical simulation values based on homogenization method.(3)Based on the analysis of the seismic performance of three kinds of structural forms,such as adobe houses,local reinforced Adobe houses,and the overall strengthening of adobe houses,under the influence of 8 degrees of frequent earthquake(0.07g),moderate earthquake(0.2g)and major earthquake(0.4g),It is concluded that the three kinds of houses are in good condition in frequent earthquake,and the local reinforcement can reach the degree of serious damage during the major earthquake.The whole reinforcement can meet the requirement of moderate damage during the major earthquake;The results show that the steel mesh cement mortar can increase the seismic performance of the structure and reduce the damage caused by the earthquake.(4)Both the wooden roof and the wood beam can reduce the displacement of the house during the earthquake,the wooden roof to work together to resist the seismic load,improve the overall performance of the house is better;in the local reinforcement of the house,the roof can further reduce the roof displacement.
