The retail market is an important place for people to purchase vegetables and other fresh food,and is an indispensable part of the daily life of urban residents.The agricultural retail market has a long history in China,bearing the social significance of the transmission of traditional culture and customs.Environmental transformation of farmers market is the historical and cultural city regeneration opportunity,is the source of diversity of urban vitality,is the core of neighborhood communication space.Based on the theory of environmental design,this paper regards the retail market of agricultural products as an organic part of urban space,and makes a careful study of the historical reasons,distribution and external environment of the retail market.The research object is mainly the 19 retail markets in the old city of XI'an.This paper briefly introduces the development history of retail market in Mingcheng District of Xi'an,and summarizes the relevant research and construction of domestic and international retail market.In this paper,the scale and distribution of agricultural retail market in Mingcheng District of Xi'an City are studied.The distribution and characteristics of distribution are analyzed with the relevant factors such as urban functional zoning,residential density,surrounding agricultural trade wholesale market and so on.This paper analyzes the special urban background of retail market in Mingcheng District of Xi'an City,and emphasizes the close relationship between the construction of retail market and the revitalization of old city and thecreation of livable environment in the old city protection and open space construction.This paper summarizes the status quo of the retail market in Mingcheng District,Xi'an,and the factors influencing its future development.With reference to the practical experience of foreign farmers' market renewal practice,this paper puts forward the "enzyme" factor of the retail market,Of the revival.The purpose of this paper is to establish and perfect the retail market system of agricultural and sideline products in Xi'an,and to find out the existing problems and advantages through the investigation of the status quo of the retail market in Mingcheng District,to develop the transformation and construction plan,for the rapid development of Mingcheng District,Construction services.
