Up to now,Economic accumulation has laid a good foundation for the prosperity of culture and sports since the reform and opening-up of China.Sports buildings begin to change into large,multivariate,functional composite form.As used by large number of people in a a specific time period and people start to leave in the same time,the evacuatiom of sports construction has always been worthy to be studied,in addition to the development of performance-based design,evacuation safety of sports constructio n requires higher standards.This paper focuses on safety evacuation within the large gymnasium,fire smoke development and evacuation design problem when fire happen were studied.Firstly,large gymnasium design and current situation was studied,after lots of case summary and data Analysis,large gymnasium basic model of 8000 seats was established.The basic model is an idealized model and it can represent both parental features and the development trend of the future for some time.Then using performance-based design analysis method,several typical fire scenarios were setted.Through fire simulation software Smart Fire,the law of fire and smoke in large gymnasium basic model was researched,and dangerous zone in evacuation process were found.Then used Building Exodus to simulate the evacuation of the basic model under no fire situation and fire situation,by comparing the results,security problems were found in evacuation design.Lastly,focused on these problems,the paper using control variables method studied the exit,evacuation channel and seating arrangement which influence the evacuation.Then some optimization design strategies of large gymnasium evacuation design were put forward.This research has certain practical and referential significance to guarantee the safety of people and guide evacuation design of the large gymnasium.However,some comprehensive influences not discussed in this paper still need further study.
