As an important part of urban traffic system,driver's strategic decision directly affects the traffic safety of the city,especially during the yellow signal at signalized intersection.The potential influencing factors of driving and decision-making are analyzed based on the measured data during the yellow signal,decision-making model are established on the basis of the analysis,potential hazard and countermeasure are researched according to the model.Traffic characteristics,characteristics of distance to stop line,speed characteristics and headway characteristics are cleared based on the analysis of the driving parameters.To make clear best distribution of the characteristics,the influence factors of deceleration and reaction time as well as acceleration and driving time are researched by the measured data.Speed,distance to stop line,pedestrian,countdown,lane and the yellow signal duration are significant factors of drivers' behavior during the yellow signal according to the analysis.The regression method is used to calibrate the coefficients of each factor,and a decision-making model based on logistic is established and validated.The type I yellow light dilemma zone model is established based on the GHM model,and the distribution range of the type I yellow light dilemma zone is discussed at different yellow signal duration,it is found that the distribution range of the type I yellow light dilemma zone enlarges with yellow signal length increases.The type II yellow light dilemma zone model is established based on the logistic decision-making model,and the distribution range of the type II yellow light dilemma zone is discussed at different situation,it is found that the length of the type II yellow light dilemma zone is not affected by speed,lane,pedestrian,yellow signal length and countdown,but they affect the distribution range.Secondly,the risk model of rear-end and side collision are established,which lays a foundation for the hazard assessment of the yellow light signal.Countermeasures are put forward to control the potential hazard from the four aspects including adjusting yellow light signal length,establishing type I dilemma zone warning information system,establishing rear-end collision warning information system and adding dynamic all-red signal.
