As the development of the society, the progress of urbanization, the increasing of population density, the common road can not meet the needs for people's trip. Urban rail transit has advantages of fast, comfort, safety, large capacity. As is accepted for most people, and it has become the first choice for short distance trip. Urban rail transit vehicle(hereinafter referred to as: urban rail vehicles) as one constituent part of urban rail transit system, is also the core part of the whole rail transit vehicles system. Whether the vehicle is smart enough, the remote monitoring and diagnosis system for the urban rail transit vehicle has been a referenced standard and puts forward a new concept for safety travel. How to diagnose the sudden failure accurately efficiently and rapidly, is the most important step in current situation.Train-ground wireless transmission system could be used for checking and evaluating the history data of vehicles, monitoring real-time data during service. Through train-ground wireless network(4G/WIFI/GPRS, etc.), the system could send the running data to the ground server. Through system and manual analysis, the statistic database could be formed, which provides decision-making support for daily maintenance and quick service of the vehicle. Allows the staff to monitor dynamically and deal with various problems occurred during the vehicle service online timely, and ensure the safety of the passengers maximally, and serve passengers efficiently.In this paper, the design of remote monitoring and diagnosis system for vehicle and the difficulty of the technique analysis and the design requirements of system are based on actual project. It has completed the practical application of the urban rail vehicle remote monitoring and diagnosis system. This paper explains the hardware implementation and the software application and illustrates the hardware performance and the software structure for the remote monitoring and diagnostic system.The end of the article shows the corresponding experimental data, and analyzes the test results. The remote monitoring and diagnosis system will translate the vehicle preventive maintenance into status maintenance and provide a guarantee to solve the failure scientifically and efficiently...
