In recent years, with the rapid development of China's electric railway, a large number of electric locomotives were put into use, resulting in higher harmonic currents, but also on the power grid pollution. As one of the key control technologies of high power AC electric locomotive, four quadrant variable flow control technology for high power traction, not only play an important role in the power play of the electric locomotive and the whole railway transportation capacity, it can also effectively improve the power factor, reduce the reactive power loss of the system, so as to effectively improve the power utilization efficiency of AC electric locomotive.In the field of rail transportation, only a few enterprises master the technology of engineering and practical traction four quadrant converter controlling. It can be said that the related research of this technology is still in the initial stage, the majority of electric locomotive four quadrant converter control technology core algorithm is also dependent on imports from developed countries in Europe, America and Japan etc.The problem to be solved in this paper is to reduce the harmonic interference of high power electric locomotive in the application process by four quadrant parallel multiplex technology. In this paper, aiming at the problem that single-phase four quadrant converter generates harmonics of the power grid when single phase four quadrant variable flow control technology applied in high power electric locomotive, a special research is carried out. By optimizing the control algorithm of single phase four quadrant converter, Design grid voltage zero crossing signal acquisition circuit,effective use of multiple technology, the parallel operation of four four quadrant converter is realized, harmonic interference to the power network is reduced.Finally, the traction control hardware in the loop simulation platform is used to simulate the optimized algorithm, and the measured data can meet the requirements of the application. And through the field loading test and data acquisition, the actual waveform is verified before and after the optimization, which proves the practical significance of the work.
