Rapid development of transportation industry raises new requirements for road construction,however,the ordinary asphalt concrete pavement could not fully meet the needs of development of communication and transportation.Researchers conducted research over asphalt modification or compound modification because of several factors,the additive SBS could efficiently improve several functions of ordinary asphalt,but making it instable.This paper aims to improve the storage stability of SBS-modified asphalt,and organic montmorillonite(OMMT),sulpur(S)and carbon black(CB)were added into the SBS-modified asphalt to prepare compound modified asphalt,respectively.We used routine asphalt tests(needle penetration,softening point,and ductility test)and isolation tests to analyze the effect of additives and dosage on storage stability and routine functions,as well the theory of Grey Relational degree was adopted to study their relation.Fractal Theory was applied in this paper,and its Fractal contrive parameters were adjusted to confirm SAC grading,macroscopic void content was applied to study the influence of Fractal theory on the composition of SAC grade-mineral;finally,through the indoor mixture experiments,we verified the effect of three additives on ordinary SBS-modified asphalt.We got the following results:(1)Isolation tests show that proper incorporation amount for these three additives could efficiently solve the problem of unstable defects in SBS modified asphalt;Grey Correlation analysis illustrates that the different SBS compound modification has different relationship between the conventional characteristics and storage stability,the better asphalt's comprehensive characteristics are,the higher average degree of correlation is.(2)The mixture select and use asphalt of K 90# which were modified by three additives.With SAC degrade adopted Fractal theory design method,the void content of compound asphalt could be effectively controlled by adjusting design parameters,the correlation between three kinds of Fractal theory design parameters and void content is: Dc >Df >P(rDCF),among these are SAC-degree modified asphalt shows the best effect.(3)Compound asphalt tests show that anti-rutting characteristics and water resistance characteristics could be enhanced with organic OMMT incorporation;anti-rutting characteristics and low-temperature beam could be enhanced by S incorporation;even though carbon black could enhance its anti-rutting characteristics,but it will also decrease its low-temperature characteristics and waterresistance,which is poorer than the previous two additives.This paper explores three kinds of additives on the storage stability and mixture performance of SBS modified asphalt,did not delve into the three kinds of additives and whether chemical function between SBS modifier,the microstructure of SBS composite modified asphalt needs further research.
