Engine overhaul scheme of modern large civil aircraft affects not only the performance and reliability of engine fleet,but also the running cost of airlines directly.In the whole life cycle,when each engine shall be sent back to the factory,and how to repair,are the priority questions in engine's maintenance plan.Therefore,in the whole life cycle of engine,formulating overhaul plan and optimizing engine maintenance interval and unit maintenance level,to save engine overhaul costs,has a great significance to China's civil aviation industry.Performance monitoring data of V2500 engine in A321 fleet was used to study how different damages deteriorate engines' performance to shop visit.On the basis of the V2500 engine fleet 16 years primary operation data,high-pressure turbine stage one blade damage distribution curve was fitted,which could be used to optimize engine removal intervals in its whole life cycle.To prolong unit wing time and optimize maintenance level,according to the electronic Maintenance Management Plan combined with previous repair level,an overhaul interval optimization model is established,covering unit maintenance level and the most economic engine overhaul cost calculation.Through the method of hierarchical optimization,optimal overhaul cost in the whole life cycle of the engine through the adjustment of the overhaul plan was achieved.In this paper,based on overhaul cost optimization model and actual fleet data,a particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm is used to solve the optimization process,each individual particle in the population map a potential solution in the space.All particles keep on looking for better locations until to achieve the best one which represent the best solution of the best life cycle engine overhaul program and the smallest overhaul cost per flight hour,iteration method is used to calculate next loop particle positions and the speed of particles' movement determined by their current status.The achievement of this paper could be used to produce referential advices to airlines on fleet engine overhaul work planning in whole life cycle.
