Cemented sand and gravel dam is a developing new dam type, which research on deformation and stress characteristics of the static and dynamic and its related factors is relatively few. This paper research work on deformation and stress characteristics of the static and dynamic has good theoretical and engineering practical significance.First of all, this paper makes a comprehensive analysis and summary on research progress of cemented sand and gravel dam. Secondly, comparing and analyzing the static and dynamic constitutive models of cemented sand and gravel dam. and selecting the most suitable constitutive model for the study.Again, this paper uses the orthogonal test to study the sensitivity of the static deformation and stress characteristics on related factors. and uses single factor analysis method to study the influence laws of related factors on the dam static and dynamic deformation and stress. The result shows that under the action of static, the sensitivity of dam deformation and stress characteristics to related factors is as follows: dam height, gel content, slope ratio; and with the increase of dam height, the dam deformation and stress all increasing; with the increase of gel content, dam displacement decreasing, but stress increasing; the slope ratio has greater influence on horizontal displacement, and horizontal displacement decreases with slowing slope ratio; under the action of dynamic, with the increase of dam height, the dam dynamic response all increasing; with the increase of gel content, dam dynamic acceleration and stress increasing, displacement decreasing; with slowing slope ratio, dam dynamic acceleration increasing, displacement and stress decreasing. Finally, this article proceeds the static and dynamic finite element analysis combining with the engineering practice named Shoukoubao cemented sand and gravel dam. The result shows that under the action of static, in completion period, the horizontal displacement is fundamental symmetry, and from the dam axis dam slope to both sides increasing gradually, after water storage, dam produces a downward displacement; the maximum vertical displacement occurred in central dam; in completion period dam stress distribution rules and all are compressive stress, after water storage, the dam upstream near dam foundation appear pull stress; under the action of dynamic, the dam using normal concrete as the upstream and downstream dam surface impervious layer easily to produce stress concentration, which maximum and minimum principal stress extreme values all appear in the downstream dam bottom. This paper could supply engineering reference for the engineering design, and its research methods and achievements can have a certain reference value and application value on similar projects.
