With the increasing promotion and improvement of the electricity market and popularization of the smart grid in recent years,the electricity market environment and operation methods has undergone great changes.Implementation of the economic demand response(EDR)depends on the relatively perfect market environment and more advanced smart grid technology.Taking EDR as the object of study,this paper firstly analysis of connotation of the EDR and elaborate the implementation precondition respectively from the perspective of market condition and physical condition.Then the macro long-term economic benefits and the micro short-term performance details are respectively discussed in the main body of this paper.The study of this paper is baed on the study of the EDR in Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland(PJM)electricity market in the macro-aspect.Point to the unbalanced interests problems disclosed by(EPSA)Decision,this paper propose a new EDR which shifting load coexists with curtailment load model.With the new EDR,generators can also participate in demand response transaction in wholse electric market.Customer baseline load error is also considered into the model of new EDR so that its response error can be calculate accurately.The result of case study show that taking customer baseline line into consideration can estimate the EDR cost error so that balance operation reserve fee can be calculated,and new EDR can not only reconcile the interest of generators,load service entities and curtailment service providers to a certain extent,but also improve the efficiency of the market and the grid.In the micro-aspect the simulation and analysis of the implementation details of EDR has been done,as well as the further validating the macro-aspects of the proposed market model.GridLAB-D,a new smart grid simulation software is applied.Base on the in-depth analysis of the demand response model in GridLAB-D,the defect of the current version of this software and the need for the simulation of the new EDR,some modification has been done in GridLAB-D.A general bidder class and bid functions for allmembers and some other interface is realized under the compilation environment of Visual Studion 2005 and MinGW.With the modified GridLAB-D,the modified IEEE 13 spots grid model is structured.Four scenes is simulated.The implementation effect of EDR in wholesale market of PJM and the mode proposed is verified,as well as the implementation details such as demand response rebound problem,the influence of the response load structrue and supply-price curve are also discussed emphatically.
