| Tearoom is a kind of space gathered by tea and tea drinking behaviors.Tearoom design is the crossing zone between the development of tea itself and the development of the architecture and it is also a very important type of architecture.China is the hometown of tea,its tea culture flourished in the Tang and Song dynasties,but now it is rare to see the tearoom and the tea drinking methods of that time.Fortunately,tea culture in Southern Song Dynasty was spread to Japan and was completely preserved.Nowadays,The construction of the tearoom amount is bigger and bigger.Studying Japanese tea room is conducive to tracking the history of Chinese tearoom design,which also provides reference samples for future development.After studying Japanese,studying Japanese tea rooms’ existing research and then extracting tearoom’s historical context and tearoom’s construct ontology elements,the author started field case study on the typical Japanese tearooms.The twelve studied cases which included seven traditional tea rooms and five contemporary tea rooms are commonly used in our daily life since ancient times.After the comparative analysis of the cases,this paper explored the Japanese tea room design methods on the basis of the modern architecture theories.And it summarizes the development trends in contemporary Japanese tea room by the comparison of the ancient and modern,which provides reference services for Chinese tea room design and theoretical study.The paper is divided into six sections.Section one is about the introduction of study object,study background,and study status quo at home and abroad,and is also to expound the study innovation,study contents,study methods and study framework in this paper.Section two is to discuss the development history of Japanese tea ceremony and tea rooms,Section three is to systematically introduce the ontological elements of tea room layouts.Section four is to analyze twelve representative tea rooms cases on the basis of Section two and Section three.Section five is to summarize the design ideas and design methods of tea rooms after the comparative analysis of the cases.Section six is to propose the conclusions from the study. |
