This paper testing based on the performance analysis and activated carbon adsorption tests,Xu Jing Waterworks' charcoal applied research,developing the election charcoal activated carbon,biological activated carbon determination effectiveness research standards,operation and management of activated carbon and regeneration of activated carbon,and activated carbon to provide technical support for the application.Studies have shown that tannic acid,humic acid adsorption,adsorption capacity of the activated carbon adsorption UV254 static and dynamic adsorption capacity CODMn showing a good correlation,which is much higher than the iodine adsorption and methylene blue adsorption value,can use as activated carbon adsorption capacity to determine the drinking water indicators.Since the activated carbon in drinking water treatment requires not only capable of adsorption,but also it plays as a role of biodegradation.Thus,according to the activated carbon adsorption capacity,product specifications,process design filter,activated carbon processing,cost and other aspects of the economy.This article indicated the choices of the activated carbon specifications,intensity,iodine adsorption,particle size and other aspects of the main indicators.Application test results show that the production of XJ water,activated carbon-based ammonia nitrogen removal rate is a little bit higher,at 34-90 %.CODMn and UV254 removal cycle has extended gradually reduced.Through experiments and theoretical analysis,BAC removal of organic matter is divided into A,B,C three phases,named the adsorption step,adsorption and biological degradation and biodegradation step.This paper presents a method for determining the activated carbon failure : When raw water ammonia >0.5mg/L,CODMn>3mg/L,activated carbon should be biodegradable,to remove ammonia and CODMn to ensure water quality standards,CODMn removal < 15-20 % can be determined the effectiveness of activated carbon as a standard;when the raw water ammonia <0.5mg / L,CODMn <3mg/L,activated carbon adsorption and biodegradation should work together mainly to remove the odor,color,trace organic pollutants,and improving water supply water quality,UV254 removal < 5-10 % activated carbon can be used as criteria of failure;when the raw water ammonia <0.05mg/L,CODMn <3mg/L,UV254 <0.010cm-1,activated carbon adsorption should be based on deodorant taste,color,trace / trace organics pollutants and improve the quality of water health.Iodine adsorption value drops 500-600 mg / L which activated carbon can be used as criteria of failure.In this paper,we discussed about activated carbon filling and operation management techniques.XJ Waterworks has begun the application.Application of activated carbon regeneration XJ Waterworks has proofed that regenerative carbon adsorption capacity can restore 90% of the new carbon,equivalent to the effect of the application of new charcoal.Activated carbon regeneration save more cost than using the new carbon economy.
