Globe valve is a kind of compulsory sealed valve used widely.It is suitable for many kinds of bad working conditions with simple structure and quickly switch performance.However,structural characteristics make it fail to realize perfect flow capacity.With the increasingly shortage of energy,energy conservation becomes the chief trend of various industries.Hence,improving the flow capacity of globe valve becomes a major task for engineering designers.With the growth of CFD technology,engineering design transfers from theoretical calculating to numerical modeling.This paper takes the body of globe valve as researching object,and studies the influence of central cavity angular variation on flow capacity.With the statics analysis,this paper tries to check reliability of angular variation's impact on structural strength.This paper researches valve body,makes numerical modeling by using various analysis modules in ANSYS software.The major part of this paper is about the analysis of flow filed of flow field,static analysis of valve body strength and fatigue life.This paper takes ANSYS Workbench as analysis platform,uses SolidWorks to establish model of valve body,and extracts characteristics of valve body by using ANSYS DM module.Meanwhile,this paper sets boundary conditions by making use of ANSYS Fluent.It also makes steady state three-dimensional numerical modeling of flow field in glove valve based on N-S governing equation and standardized k-? turbulence model.The author analyzes and compares flow resistance coefficient and boundary shear stress in different valve body angles.Therefore changing rules is worked out,greatest flow resistance coefficient and real-time globe valve angles are achieved.This paper makes an analysis on influence of angular variation on glove valve structure,carries out a static analysis on glove valve structure,researches the number of effect force and its distribution.It concludes that angular variation only has tiny impact on globe valve structure,stress concentration in central cavity and flow field joint part varies greatly with the changes of angles.Finally,the paper makes use of ANSYS Workbench Fatigue software,considers fatigue damage theory and requirements of chapter ? in ASME regulation.It works out a fatigue life analysis about valve body,and gets the angles which can meet demands of designers.It is the first paper that suggests optimal designing scheme,which can improve flow capacity by changing angles of valve body.Numerical simulated results are achieved,showing this scheme is simple and useful,and the results are obvious.
