China covers a vast geographic area with various mountains and gorges,and there are more and more continuous rigid frame bridges with piers above one hundred and fifty meters.With the improvement of material properties and construction equipment construction ability,the piers of continuous rigid frame bridges can reach up to 180 m.Seismic response,and stability,apart from the stress and intensity control,are also important factors while designing for the super high pier continuous rigid frame bridges.This paper analyzes the earthquake resistant and stable design and construction points of the super high pier continuous rigid frame bridges,and provides the reference for other similar projects.The main contents are as follows:1.Based on the impact of ground motion input mode on structure,design and analysis method of seismic construction measures,from the perspective of engineering practice,this paper studies the high pier bridge seismic design scheme and the method.The traveling wave effect on seismic response of high pier long-span rigid frame bridges has been analysed,the reasonable options of seismic excitation model for seismic design have been discussed,reducing isolation structural measures on seismic performance of high pier long-span rigid frame bridges has been researched,reasonable aseismatic measures and solutions for this type of bridges have been analysed,and seismic response on high pier long-span rigid frame bridges of P-?effect have been analyzed,and therefore it establishes a theoretical foundation for analysis and research of this type of bridge.2.High pier long-span rigid frame bridges related works have been carried out in China,but it is mainly for high pier long-span rigid frame bridges of less than 100 m pier,and around 150 m span.There are many problems when applying the research results on the high pier long-span rigid frame bridges,and there is an urgent need to analyze and research key factors of impacting stability of high pier long-span rigid frame bridges,systematically tidy up working conditions,and calculate stability calculation example.Meanwhile,the parameter sensitivity analysis of the key parameters,i.e.Class I,Class II stability pier height,material strength,and initial defect,have been analyzed,and impact of equal cross section during single pier,double thin-wall piers and longitudinal single variable cross-section pier on stability have been studied respectively.
