The Design And Implementation Of The Sound Level Meter Calibration System Based On LabVIEW

Sound level meter is an instrument for evaluating noise level,and is one of the most common instrument acoustic measurement.Sound level meter is widely used in environmental protection,labor health,scientific research and teaching and industrial enterprises etc,therefore sound level meter relationship and people's daily life and work,so make sure that the sound level meter has important significance for accurate and reliable magnitude.But currently in the process of sound level meter calibration,there is a lot of duplication of operating instruments,and prone to errors and the efficiency is lower,so the demand is higher for technical operations personnel,therefore the development of sound level meter measurement system has the positive significance.In further study of the principle of sound level meter and the national metrological verification code requirements,this paper studies the sound level meter calibration system based on LabVIEW.The system is controlled by computer using LabVIEW software to control agilent33220 function/arbitrary waveform generator for sound level meter automatic verification.It can complete all basic sound level meter item,and costs little,for non-computer professional programming,LabVIEW graphs,flow charts,terminology,concepts,and so on compared with the code will be more familiar and understand,and make the process more easy,interesting and convenient to write programs,this system has low cost,simple,easy to use,convenient etc.Hardware aspect,the sound level meter calibration system using the common agilent33220 function/arbitrary waveform generator to replace the traditional instrument of the main standard for measuring sound level meter,and through the USB interface connected to the computer,all the sound level meter calibration are done on computer operation,the system simplifies the instrument verification required for sound level meter,easy operation and ensure the accuracy of the signal.Softwareaspect,the sound level meter calibration system of the operating interface is divided into seven functional areas,and corresponding sound level meter each main metering projects.The system uses the main frame is the producer/consumer design pattern,similar to programming of the event structure,this structure makes the whole system is simple and reduce the CPU utilization,the operation of the system interface has 29 clickable input controls,the 29 input control is 29 events in the system,the operating interface to select a after the incident,the program will automatically perform series of actions,and then continue to wait for,save CPU resources,guarantee the efficiency and stability of the software system.In this paper,the sound level meter calibration system can complete all sound level meter calibration project,and can guarantee the accuracy,time,efficiency,especially to simplifythe operation of the instrument,reduce the human error appeared in the process of verification,greatly improve the test efficiency,and the sound level meter calibration system measurement results are consistent with the original standard device,can be used in sound level meter daily verification.
