Currently,in China,more and more people are moving to cities,resulting in the increasing density of population,and as a result,high buildings are necessarily widely-used in China.However,with the growth of the height of the high buildings,wind load and horizontal seismic load have become the key to design the high structure.The shear-wall structure is the sort of the structure which has strong carrying capacity,lateral stiffness,integrity and widely application of high buildings.Improving the lateral bearing capacity under the premise of not taking more space is worth of researching.Adding energy dissipation dampers is an effective solution.The viscoelastic dampers can provide the additional stiffness and damping with the structure,and perfectly used in the shear-wall structure.The arrangement of the viscoelastic dampers includes supporting type and wall type,which both cannot be applied in the shear-wall structure.Therefore,equipping the shear-wall structure with viscoelastic dampers need to adopt new kind of configuration and arrangement,and need to verify the effectiveness and availability of itsapplication at the coupling-beam of the shear-wall structure by experimental tests and finite element analysis.This research finished the experimental studies on one kind of new high damping viscoelastic rubber coupling-beam dampers,and found out this coupling-beam's basic mechanical properties,fatigue attenuation properties,and thecharacteristics of the program of the attenuation.Otherwise,after observing the program of the attenuation tests,one kind of obvious fatigue recovery properties can be found.Therefore,through a series of experimental tests of fatigue recovery properties,this research effectively verifies this fatigue recovery properties of the high damping viscoelastic rubber coupling-beam damper,and actually know the characteristics of the program of the recovery.Based on the researches,which other scholars have finished,on the fatigue properties of the viscoelastic rubber materials,this research also talk about the reason of the fatigue attenuation properties and the fatigue recovery properties of the high damping viscoelastic rubber coupling-beam dampers.According to the data from the experimental tests,this research also finished the finite element analysis to the 10-floor shear-wall structure equipped with the dampers and not equipped with the dampers,contrast the first mode natural cycle,interlaminar shear and displacement angle.The tests also prove the damper does actually have the function of adding additional stiffness,reducing the seismic response and applying in the coupling beams of the shear-wall structure.
