Hubei has six traction substation of jiaozuo-liuzhou railway power supply for railway traction network.Since opening,the power factor of the traction substation in the pipe has been low,which can not meet the requirements of the national electricity price policy,"the power factor of large industrial users is greater than 90%".This year,the Jiao Jiao railway Hubei section of the traction substation generated a fine of up to $8 million.So this paper,Jiaozuo Liuzhou railway traction on Hubei section of the reactive power compensation scheme for substation,through the theory and experiment of different compensation schemes and access to large amounts of data,take a test to optimize the compensation plan and organize the implementation operation mode,to solve the practical problems of the implementation of various stages and finally reached the expected effect.Firstly,this paper introduces the power quality of electrified railway,especially the principle of reactive power compensation.The research status at home and abroad is described.After the combination of Jiaozuo Liuzhou railway section of Hubei traction substation without the running status of the reactive power compensation is analyzed,and the use of existing parallel compensation device for testing power factor improvement,all put into operation,using numerical operation,each phase of operation of a single group in different operation modes and statistical power factor,and the traffic situation of Jiaozuo Liuzhou Railway the reactive power are analyzed.On this basis,it is concluded that the static reactive power compensation device can not achieve good compensation effect.Lists the current mature several dynamic reactive power compensation and compares their advantages and disadvantages,puts forward reform more reasonable scheme,in the selection of Wang Shugang,Hu Jiao Liu railway traction substation set using different dynamic reactive power compensation for the actual construction.The different dynamic reactive power compensation method is described in detail,including the selection of different equipment,access to the existing equipment,construction procedures,emergency plans,and so on.After the implementation of the compensation effect and equipment maintenance costs to make comparison and selection.Finally,according to the operation characteristics of the railroad is the most reasonable scheme is implemented in all tissues,the effect of the implementation of the statistical summary of other similar driving conditions of the railway traction substation power factor improvement has practical significance.
