Many problems have appeared in the application of asphalt pavement,of which rutting disease is one of the most common.At the moment the most common way to solve the rutting is to improve the high temperature stability of asphalt mixture.That means to improve the resistance to the high temperature through certain technical methods.But these measures did not change the internal state of pavement high temperature.On the other side the construction cost increased while the effect of rutting resistance is not obvious..To solve this problem,this study used ceramsite of low thermal conductivity as fine aggregate into asphalt mixture to improve the high temperature stability,reduce pavement temperature and improve rutting resistance.At the same time,using ceramsite as a substitute for fine aggregate can reduce the consumption of sand,so that it can alleviate the pressure of natural resources.The main work is as follows:(1)The performance test and Marshall test: Design the asphalt mixture by Marshall test and test the performance indexes of asphalt mixture with different ceramsite content.The results show that ceramsite asphalt mixture can be used as surface layer in asphalt pavement,and can improve the dynamic stability of asphalt mixture.(2)The thermal conductivity of ceramsite was tested.The results show that the thermal conductivity of asphalt mixture reduced effectively.Design the indoor equivalent radiation test and outdoor solar radiation test to test the heat resistance performance.The results show that it can reduce the surface temperature up to 3? with the ceramsite content of 60%.(3)Finite element simulation: Use ABAQUS software to calculate the inside temperature filed of ceramsite asphalt concrete pavement and compare the results with ordinary asphalt concrete pavement.The results show that ceramsite asphalt concrete pavement can effectively reduce the heat transfer to the interior and prevent heat accumulation.It can be concluded through the above research that the fine aggregate asphalt mixture can enhance the heat resistance of pavement and reduce the pavement temperature,the suitable content is 60%.
