Affected by various natural or man-made disasters in the operation process of the cable-stayed bridge cable is damaged.Cable is the main load-bearing component of cable-stayed bridge,and the most sensitive area.So the cable damage directly affects the safety of cable-stayed bridge,which will directly make the cable force and main truss node changes bring the threat for the safe operation of the bridge.It is necessary to study cable damage and changes of the main truss node deflection.This paper takes Wuhan Tianxingzhou River bridge(98+196+504+196+98m)as a research object,establish 3-D finite element model of the bridge by using the finite element software ANSYS.The variation law of the cable force and the change of the beam deflection are simulated and calculated under the condition of the damage state,the state of the train load,the damage state and the train load.This thesis will discuss the feasibility of the method of cable damage based on deflection monitoring with analysising of the sensitivity of the beam deflection with the cable damage.The variation law of the deflection of the beam under the condition of no vehicle on the bridge will be analysising by damaging the cable reaching 5%?15%?25%?35%?45%.By analyzing and summarizing,the cable force of the damaged cable is obviously decreased when the cable is damaged.The cable force of the same side of the tower increases of the same tower,and the different side of the same tower is reduced.The greater the degree of damage,the more obvious changes in the cable force.Under the train load,the deflection of the beam is different from the position of the train load.When the load is in the position of the anchor point of the steel truss girder,the deflection value of the node is max.Under the combined action of the cable damage and the train load,the cable force of the damaged cable is mainly affected by the damage and the train load will lead to the damage of the cable and the steel truss girder anchorage node deflection increases.
