With the rapid growth of population and urbanization,housing problem is becoming one of the most concerned problems in China or the world.High rise building group provide a practical solution under the circumstance of design innovation and advanced construal technology nowadays.The buildings become higher and more flexible while the natural frequency become closer to the dominate frequency of wind load which makes the buildings are more sensitive to the wind and wind load is more likely to be a control load on designing the buildings.Rigid model wind pressure tests on a high rise building groups were carried out in wind tunnel to obtain the wind load on isolated building and group buildings.The wind induced responses of the building was calculated by finite-element-method in time-history domain.Finally,by comparing mean base forces,wind pressure distribution,acceleration on the top of building and displacement on isolated building with those on group buildings,the interference of building group on the wind load the wind induced response was revealed.The results can be helpful suggestions during the wind resistance design of the similar high rise building group.
