As the emerging energy supply option with satisfied energy,economic and environmental performances,the Distributed energy resource(DER)system is expected to be widely spread in China.As one the main issues faced by the penetration of DER system,the rational operation simulation and performance assessment is of vital importance.In this study,based on the typical climate conditions in Shanghai,while considering the design specification and use regularity of typical buildings,the hourly loads are simulated for office,hotel and residential building by employing the e QUEST software.In addition,the load features of two types of mixed buildings are also examined.Based on the simulated energy loads,by employing the TRNSYS software,the simulation framework of the distributed energy system is developed while considering the two operating forms,namely,following the electric load(FEL)and following the thermal load(FTL).According to the simulation results,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)Compared with the conventional centralized energy system,the economic,energy and environmental performances of distributed energy system are better regardless of FEL or FTL model.Moreover,the system under the FTL mode enjoys better performances than that under the FEL mode.(2)The DRE system in mixed buildings has greater economic performance than that in the single building under both FEL and FTL models.(3)The energy efficiency of DER system is proportional to the heat-to-power ratio and the economic benefit increases with the increase of the electricity price and the decrease of the gas price under the FTL mode.Taking the hotel building as an example,only when the heat-to-power ratio is less than 1.13 can the energy efficiency of the DER system be reflected.Moreover,only when the electricity price is more than 0.46 Yuan/ k Wh and the gas price is less than 3.21 Yuan/m3,the construction and operation of DER system is expected to be implemented.
